All Good Writing Depends On ...

All good writing depends on:

Using the shared names
of categories
derived from analysis
of experience.
Visual thinkers tend to bypass the process of analysis and naming.

To write better, visual thinkers need to practice, practice, practice:
analyzing things into their parts
ascertaining the names people share for those parts

I don't understand. Shared names:

"of categories
derived from analysis
of experience."

Can someone say something more about this. I think I get it but it is not clear to me. Shared names of categories? can someone give an example please?

My studies of the writings of visual thinkers are limited, but they seem to be the only ones available.

I found that visual thinkers often used eccentric or personal terms for ordinary objects.

This is part of a tendency to confuse one word for another, as in this copyright notice: "All visual content is copyright to it's respectful owners" -- where "respectful" is used in place of "respective" (not to mention errors in the use of "it's" and "to").

Another visual thinker used accrediting for crediting, and called it dismemberment when someone lost their membership in an organization.

If you want practice in this area, Newsroom101.com has a unit with around 200 exercises on easily confused words.
